Susumaniello is a distinctive red grape variety predominantly cultivated in the Puglia region of southern Italy, particularly in the Salento area. Recognised for its deep colour and robust character, Susumaniello produces wines with an enticing aromatic profile marked by intense notes of ripe blackberries, plums, and blueberries, complemented by nuances of violet, spice, and occasionally a subtle earthy undertone. On the palate, these wines are medium to full-bodied, displaying a vibrant acidity and firm, yet velvety tannins, contributing to both freshness and longevity.
