This strong ale is fermented in Sauternes casks with East Kent Goldings. The beer pours yellow gold with aromas of honey-drenched lychees, subtle pineapple funk, peaches, Poire Williams, caramel, toasted walnuts, bruised vanilla beans, nutmeg, toasted coconut and crème brulee. On the palate, it has power and intensity but a deftness and bitterness which prevent cloying and facilitate a convivial drinkability.
