Pitchfork Cheddar

This Pitchfork cheddar won Super Gold winner at the World Cheese Awards 2022, and a Great Taste Award 2021. It’s one for proper cheddar lovers: really strong and full flavoured, with a wonderfully dense, creamy texture.

This full-flavoured cheese sometimes develops blue veins. They're completely natural, adding extra flavour and character to the cheddar.

Made by the Trethowan brothers in Somerset, Pitchfork cheddar is crafted traditionally, using raw (unpasteurised) organic milk. The cheese is named after the pitchforks used to toss the curds! Each cheddar is bound in cloth and matured for up to 12 months to develop its strong signature flavour.
